Yana Yaseneva is a Russian-Canadian photographer/cinematographer and film director.

| 2009: | Graduated from Capilano University (North Vancouver, BC) in 2009 (Cinematography for film and video program). |
| 2010: | Wrote and directed her 16-minute drama "The missing me" which was shown at the Toronto Indie Can Film Festival. |
| 2011: | Developed and wrote her feature "Hotel" in collaboration with Maria Cundari and ATKA Films. "Hotel" will be shot in March 2011. |

Yana's main objects in her photo- and film-shoots are old black and white pictures, cigarettes, art-deco dresses, wine bottles, wine stains, white sheets, red sheets, old hotels, cheap motels, long hair, dry flowers, windows, mirrors, oceans, seas and rivers, fire, etc. Any object that allows the character to disclose its identity.

Double-faced human beings. Perpetual travelers. Former beauty (and any other contest) queens. Orphans. Orchestra participants. Night-walkers. Blind people. Dreamers.
